We designed a symbol and poster for the annual World Down Syndrome Day on behalf of Lebenshilfe e.V.

At the center is a large, round face reminiscent of the classic smiley symbol. However, this smiley is specially designed to symbolize individuality and the acceptance of differences. The design is highly minimalist, utilizing space and the power of simple shapes and colors to convey a strong message. It celebrates the joy and positivity associated with individuals with Down syndrome while also leveraging the cultural significance of the smiley to create a universal connection. This poster is lively, welcoming, and deliberately positive in its approach.

The poster was very well received and enthusiastically embraced by the community, and it has been widely honored in the design world, including awards like 100 Beste Plakate.  It has also been included in the permanent poster collection of BLMK – Brandenburgisches Landesmuseum für Moderne Kunst.
