THE VENUE

The Venue Berlin is a playground for entrepreneurs, journalists, artists and companies in the field of music and audio technology.

Connected with the Axel Springer Media House, which includes Germanys most popular music magazines: Rolling Stone, Musikexpress and Metalhammer. It is like a lab that connects co-working, a studio, a stage and a lot of space for creating synergies.

Our task was to develop a corporate identity and a mural as part of the interior design.

BRAND IDENTITY
WALL DESIGN
MARKETING MATERIAL
WEB DESIGN

It all started with a flash of inspiration. We were looking for a symbol that would reflect the idea and energy of this place: A hub for artists and entrepreneurs in music and audio. Thus, a small symbol was created that was to play a major role in this corporate design.

Based on the flash, we design a mural painting consisting of posters with patterns that led to a very noticeable and intense room. Therefore we used an old machine, which was formerly used to cut sails and converted it to paint the patterns with ink.

Although the posters where drawn by a machine the ink was an uncontrollable part. It gets less, made stains, becomes alive. The play between dark and light, between trial and error, between maschine and organic material symbolizes the creation of music and ideas. The arrangement of the posters was inspired by billboards on which concerts are advertised.
